ITLAQ wins a contract for developing The Central Elections Commission's Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)

ITLAQ, the leading IT Service and Enterprise Solutions provider and Microsoft Business Partner was awarded a contract to develop and implement The Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) for The Central Elections Commission. an independent body in charge of administering, conducting and supervising presidential, legislative and local elections in Palestine, whereby ITLAQ will commence the project in two month period by laying out an inclusive project plan using the latest technology from Microsoft Sharepoint 2007 Portal and Archiving system.


This enterprise arrives as a constituent of a partnership between CEC and ITLAQ, efficiency of service and response time are becoming the pressing needs to maintain and expand customer base, especially for institutions experiencing rapid demand in certain periods "elections periods".


It is worth mentioning that after the completion of the project, the system will serve more than 18 elections centers in the West Bank and Gaza strip, and will be accessible to employees anywhere through the web.


The System will be equipped to provide online archiving and operations on one hand and employees feedback on the other. The system in its final form will contain integral facilities with exciting solutions in the CEC needed by the employees in their daily operations, as well as a large number of archived documents and knowledge base core.


The main duties of the CEC commission include the following:

  • Ratifying all necessary procedures for conducting presidential and legislative elections in Palestine.

  • Supervising and monitoring the course of each step of the electoral process.

  • Verifying that election activities are carried out in accordance with the law.

  • Ensuring that the necessary measures are in place to allow elections to be held in a free, fair and transparent manner.

  • Ratifying and announcing the election results.

The daily operations of the CEC are carried by the Central Elections Bureau.
