Referencing a Person in a Approval Workflow

Hi,

Building a new Approval Workflow where the user must enter their Approver on the form via a field of type "People".

I am using the field via $WFItemFields(Approver) in the "Assign To" field of a standard request approval.

However, when the workflow runs the user is not assigned. It remains blank.

Any help appreciated.

Nate

I can use that field to send a normal "Notification" from the workflow, just not assign it to an Approval Task.
